2016 Toolbox
If you like our campaign goal and want to help achieve it, please:

• Take initiative to instigate individual or small group projects and implement them however you think will best help reach the Climate Emergency Declaration and Mobilisation goal.

• Tell us what you are doing so that others can offer to help, or copy your project in their own area, or modify it to suit, or bounce off your idea in some way.

• Check out the resources below in this Toolbox for anything that might help with your projects, and send us any resources you develop so others can use them too, if they wish.

• Join the closed Facebook group that operates as a ‘working group’ for climate emergency campaigners to share resources and ideas, and to ask for or offer help with campaign projects.

As the number of people working on this campaign grows, we will be setting up communication channels and ‘go to’ people for specific regions and broad projects. However, for now, please keep in touch via the Facebook working group or by email to info@climateemergencydeclaration.org

» Overview on Facebook

The text to go with the image on Facebook could be something in the direction of…:

Want to stop the big polluters? We do too!
Declaring a climate emergency and mobilising accordingly is a top-level ask. If we win this ask, then automatically there’d be a rapid transition to 100% renewable energy, coal and CSG mining would cease, dirty power stations would be closed, forests would be protected, etc, etc.

“…to preserve the future of human civilisation and the precious ecosystems on which we depend”

“…to protect all people, species, and eco-systems from climate impacts”

Copy-paste code text to your group’s WordPress site

If your group likes the climatesafety.net-petition text, that one can be embedded in your group’s website, if you wish, either with or without the surrounding context. It has a centralised Google Drive mechanism that automatically takes care of recording signatures and updating counters at all sites where it is embedded.

The WordPress code for embedding the petition is here. It can quite easily be converted into ‘clean’ html-code.
